DiscoverWakestyle Product Review: KT Ginxu Super K The KT Ginxu Super K is an impressive addition to the wingfoiling market, available in various sizes (60, 70, 80, 92, and 104 liters) to cater to different rider needs. I had the opportunity to test the 80-liter model, which is 21 inches wide and 6.1 feet long. Check prices and availability here: https://www.wake-style.com/products/kt-ginxu-super-k Key Features and Performance Wide Design for Stability: Unlike some brands that offer narrow boards with hard bevels for stability, KT opted for a slightly wider design. This enhances the board's glide, thanks to its efficient displacement hull. Effortless Glide: As soon as you catch the wind, the board glides effortlessly, resembling a knife cutting through butter. This aspect really impressed me. Lightweight Feel: Although not the lightest board on the market, the KT Ginxu Super K feels well-balanced and light underfoot. The foil box is sufficiently long, accommodating Armstrong and other soft foils without issues. Versatile Insert Placement: The board includes inserts, allowing riders to use it with or without straps. This versatility is a significant plus. Small Grab Handle: One downside is the small grab handle, which can cause hand cramps if you need to carry the board for long distances. It's adequate for short stretches but not ideal for extended carrying. Excellent Build Quality: As expected from KT, the build quality is top-notch, delivering premium products consistently. Recommendations Rider Weight and Height Consideration: If you are a rider under 90 kg, you might prefer a narrower board. However, for heavier or taller riders (especially those around 190 cm or taller), a longer and wider board is advisable to match body proportions effectively. A taller rider (195 cm) should not ride the same length board as someone who is 180 cm. Ideal for Taller Riders: This board is particularly recommended for taller riders due to its proportionate design. The KT Ginxu Super K is set to become a standout performer this summer. Pre-orders are open, with retail availability starting from July 9. If you have questions or want to demo the board, feel free to contact us, visit the store, or send a message. See you on the water!

North Horizon Downwind Foil Board Review The North Horizon Downwind Board marks North Sails' first venture into downwind boards, setting a new standard in the industry. This board integrates cutting-edge design and technology to deliver superior performance and stability in downwind paddling and foiling. Key Features of the North Horizon Downwind Board: Innovative Shape and Volume Distribution: The board features a displacement hull at the front, essential for accelerating and initiating foils on flat water, a feature previously unachievable with traditional designs. The displacement hull, known for its efficiency, traditionally comes with a trade-off in stability. North has ingeniously addressed this by incorporating a deep bevel in the tail. Rear Volume and Bevel Design: By shifting the volume towards the back and combining it with a deep bevel, the board stabilizes when stationary, similar to a boat's keel. This unique design enhances the board's stability, making it suitable for rough waters. Exceptional Stability and Performance: Designed for a broad range of conditions, the board is stable and user-friendly. It offers an unparalleled paddling experience in rough waters due to its 105L volume and 18-inch width, features that contribute to its excellent stability and glide. Detailed Specifications: Available Sizes: The board comes in various sizes including 98L, 105L, 115L, and 124L, accommodating different rider preferences and conditions. Dimensions: The models vary in length and width, from 75 inches long by 18 inches wide to 84 inches long by 18.5 inches wide. Advanced Construction: It features a Full Carbon Hull that ensures rapid response and supreme stiffness, coupled with a Full S-Glass Hull for a responsive, lively flex and ultimate durability. US Track Boxes: Equipped with 2x 13” track boxes, enhancing its versatility and foil compatibility. Deck Features: The foot pad is expertly designed for maximum grip and comfort, enhancing the overall user experience. The North Horizon Downwind Board is a game-changer for downwind enthusiasts, offering a blend of speed, stability, and responsive handling that is sure to appeal to both competitive and recreational paddlers. Its robust construction and thoughtful design make it a top choice for anyone looking to enhance their performance on the water. Here is a clip of a few kilometers of an epic downwinder that took place today on the Ijselmeer between Almere and Lelystadt. The wind blew around 25 knots and bumps were just perfect! Gear: -North Horizon 7.5 x18 105lt -Armstrong Ha 1180 /performance mast 795 / - -220 glide stab ( no shim) -Paddle Mistral Chevron Rider 181cm x85 kg (dry) This combo set work perfect for me, the @NorthFoils Horizon allows me to bring the @armstrongfoils HA1180 at speed in no time! Once up it’ just pure pleasure and stoke🔥
Armstrong Apf 1350 Downwind review Finally i had the chance to test the Armstrong Apf 1350 in light downwind conditions. The wind blew around 15-18 knots today with some gust above it. The downwinder took place on the big lake Ijselmeer. The foil has a nice gentle and consistent lift, youbare not kicked off the board and you don t need to step forward in order to contrast the excess lift like happends on the bigger sizes. This foil glides like a maniac and pumps really well so you can connect and survive the flat parts without too many problems. Despite the big span it is very maneuverable and turns nice on the bumps, when breaching it won’t suffer of ventilation and just keeps flying forward. This foil is a gamechanger for light downwind conditions and sure a must have in you quiver if you are serious about this sport. If you are skilled and ride only in powered ocean conditions you could skip this size and go straight to the HA. In this video i have tested the newest Armstrong equipment in a downwind run. Gear: -Board: Armstrong Doenwind 7.7 x 21 x 121 L -Foil : Armstrong Apf 1675 + tc60 + pump 202 + performance 795. Plate was positioned on numer 9 on the box -Paddle: Ppc Downwind 105 in2 The PPC paddle facilitates easier takeoffs, compensating for my less skilled paddling. The foil lifts quickly and manages medium wind bumps effortlessly. Although the Armstrong Apf 1675 isn't the best for gliding, it's great for transitioning from larger to smaller foils and is forgiving to ride. The performance mast, while not hindering takeoff compared to shorter masts, provides ample clearance over bumps for better control. Initially, I experienced back leg pressure, but after installing a 1-degree positive base shim with the thicker side forward, the board's takeoff became more balanced and less aggressive. This adjustment also ensures a centered flight and alleviates back leg strain when navigating bumps.. Please drop your comment below or share your experience with me if you are using another setup. See you on the water🤙🏻 #downwind #dw #armstrong

Armstrong Apf 1350 Flat water paddleReview The Raining could not stop my curiosity so i went out for a flat paddle Session with the new Armstrong Apf 1350. The foil is at first glans smaller( less chord) that the big brother 1675 but surprisingly the take off is very easy and gentle. The the thinner profile and smaller chord improve the speed and glide, if you are able to keep it right under the water surface you will be able to pump for long distances! Gear: Armstrong apf 1350 Tc60 220 glide Pm795 North horizon 105 lt 7.5 Rider weight 85kg
Had the pleasure of riding the North Horizon 7.10 x 18.5 x 115lt The north Horizon is a downwind specific board and looking at it seems very radical but the shapers at North made a very good job by putting the volume right under the feet. The shape is a mix of displacement hull in the front that shifts to bevel in the middle back offering unmatched stability. The North Horizon is a blade and matches nicely small foils offering a lightning speed and accelleration on the water so you can fli in no time. The board is super reactive and snappy when flying thans to the narrow shape, the extra length on the nose is barely noticeable as it is super narrow. The North Horizon is for sure aimed to intermediate to experienced riders looking for a board that will help unlock riding smaller foils
I wanted to share this video, so it is clear how the Armstrong Ma 1000 performs. We did a lake downwind in 30-40 Knots of wind. This foil has an immense glide despite the apparently small Size, the Armstrong MA 1000 glides almost like a High aspect foil and is super friendly in use. I could manage to stay on the foil for almost 2 min…on a lake, pretty impressive for such a foil!!! Available for test at wake-style.com

The world’s first purpose-built harness for wingsurfing, the Vinaka will have you riding longer and pinching upwind more efficiently by taking the wing’s weight off your arms whenever you want. The Vinaka’s ultra-minimal design of ripstop nylon and thin closed-cell foam weighs-in at a mere 450 grams, so you can still fully enjoy the free feeling of wingsurfing. With a shadow-like fit and sliding hook, the Vinaka virtually disappears when swimming, paddling, or riding toeside (situations where a traditional kite or windsurf harness can be a massive hassle/pain/annoyance). If want to extend your wingsurfing sessions, the Vinaka will help you stay out on the water when everyone else that’s winging has to head in because their arms are smoked. *Spreader bar INCLUDED.
